Terms and Conditions for Commissions

Thank you so much for getting in touch and for your interest in commissioning artwork from me. Please read the terms and conditions below regarding your rights and use of artwork, as well as the commission process.

Commission agreement

HP Source of Design‭, ‬trading as‭ ‬“Doodlicious”

(‬Hereafter referred to as‭ ‬“the Artist”‭)‬

This Agreement is made between‭:‬
The Client and The Artist
Date‭: ‬As referenced on agreement of contract

By commissioning artwork and submitting payment‭, ‬the Client confirms that they have read‭, ‬understood‭, ‬and agreed to the terms set out below‭.‬

1‭. ‬Scope of Work

The Artist agrees to create a commissioned artwork based on the description‭, ‬references‭, ‬and specifications supplied by the Client in writing‭.‬ Unless otherwise agreed in writing‭, ‬the final artwork will be delivered as a high-resolution JPEG file‭.‬

2‭. ‬Pricing

• Starts at‭ ‬£60‭ ‬‮–‬‭ ‬Digital line drawing

• Starts at‭ ‬£100‭ ‬‮–‬‭ ‬Full-colour digital illustration

Prices include one‭ (‬1‭) ‬round of minor revisions‭.‬

Minor revisions include small adjustments such as colour tweaks or minor detail changes‭.‬

They do not include‭:‬

• Changes to the overall concept

• Style changes

• Additional figures or elements

• Complete or partial redraws

Any additional revisions or changes requested after work has begun may incur additional fees and extend the delivery timeframe‭.‬

3‭. ‬Printing‭ (‬Optional‭)‬

Printing services are available for an additional charge depending on size‭, ‬materials‭, ‬and quantity‭.‬

A separate quote will be provided upon request‭. ‬The Artist is not responsible for colour variations or print quality when third‭-‬party printers are used‭.‬

4‭. ‬Payment Terms

• Full payment is required upfront to secure the commission‭.‬

• Work will not commence until payment has been received‭.‬

• Once work has begun‭, ‬payments are non-refundable‭.‬

Accepted payment methods‭: ‬Cash‭, ‬card‭, ‬or PayPal‭.‬

5‭. ‬Delivery of Artwork

The final artwork will be delivered digitally via email or download link‭.‬

Estimated completion time‭: ‬1‮–‬2‭ ‬weeks‭, ‬subject to complexity and workload‭.‬

Any delays will be communicated to the Client as soon as reasonably possible‭.‬

6‭. ‬Copyright‭ ‬&‭ ‬Usage Rights

• The Artist retains full copyright and ownership of the artwork under the Copyright‭, ‬Designs and Patents Act 1988‭.‬

• The Client is granted a non-exclusive‭, ‬non-transferable licence for personal use only‭.‬

Personal use includes‭:‬

• Printing for personal display

• Gifting the artwork

The artwork may not be‭:‬

• Sold

• Used for commercial purposes

• Used for branding‭, ‬marketing‭, ‬merchandise‭, ‬fundraising‭, ‬or business promotion

• Reproduced for resale without a separate written commercial licence from the Artist‭.‬

The Artist retains the right to display the artwork for portfolio‭, ‬website‭, ‬social media‭, ‬exhibitions‭, ‬and promotional purposes‭.‬

If the artwork is intended as a gift‭, ‬the Artist agrees not to share it publicly before the agreed release date‭.‬

7‭. ‬Moral Rights

The Artist asserts their moral rights‭, ‬including the right to be identified as the creator of the artwork and the right to object to derogatory treatment of the work‭.‬

8‭. ‬Client Obligations

The Client confirms that‭:‬

• They have permission to provide any reference images or materials‭.‬

• They will not request artwork based on copyrighted characters‭, ‬logos‭, ‬or designs unless they hold the rights or provide written‭ ‬permission‭.‬

• They will provide clear instructions and respond promptly to communications‭.‬

The Client agrees to indemnify and hold harmless the Artist against any claims‭, ‬losses‭, ‬or damages arising from materials or instructions supplied by the Client‭.‬

9‭. ‬Revisions

The commission includes one‭ (‬1‭) ‬round of minor revisions only‭.‬

Any additional revisions or significant changes will be quoted separately and must be agreed before work continues‭.‬

10‭. ‬Liability

The Artist is not responsible for print quality when third-party printers are used‭.‬

The Artist is not liable for indirect or consequential losses‭, ‬including loss of profits or business opportunities‭.‬

The Artist’s liability is limited to the total amount paid for the commission‭.‬

11‭. ‬Termination

If the Client cancels before work has begun‭, ‬a full refund will be issued‭.‬

Once work has begun‭, ‬no refunds will be provided‭.‬

The Artist reserves the right to cancel the commission at any time‭; ‬in such cases‭, ‬a full refund will be issued‭.‬

12‭. ‬Force Majeure

The Artist shall not be liable for delays or failure to perform due to events beyond reasonable control‭, ‬including illness‭, ‬technical failure‭, ‬or other unforeseen circumstances‭.‬

13‭. ‬Governing Law

This Agreement shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales‭.‬
