Celebrating Isaac Pitman Through Doodlicious

One of my favourite things about creating Doodlicious artwork is celebrating the fascinating people and places that make Trowbridge so special.

One such person is Sir Isaac Pitman, the inventor of Pitman Shorthand and one of Trowbridge's most famous historical figures.

Although shorthand may not be used as widely today, Isaac Pitman's influence on education, business and communication was enormous. His work helped millions of people develop valuable skills and left a lasting legacy that is still recognised around the world.

Creating my illustration of Isaac Pitman was a wonderful opportunity to celebrate a piece of our town's history in the colourful, quirky Doodlicious style.

I love discovering local stories and turning them into artwork that makes people smile while celebrating our heritage. It's amazing how many fascinating tales are hidden in plain sight around Trowbridge.

If you haven't already seen the Isaac Pitman design, do have a browse through the shop. I hope it inspires you to look a little closer at the history of our wonderful town.

As always, thank you for supporting Doodlicious and helping me continue to celebrate Trowbridge, one doodle at a time.
